Philippe Collombel

General Partner, Partech Europe

Philippe Collombel is the co-managing partner of Partech Europe (Partech International Partners SAS) with Jean-Marc Patouillaud that he joined in 2001. He focuses on European investments in Digital Media, Internet and Software.

Over the last few years, Philippe has built a strong portfolio of emerging leaders in

-Digital Media which includes companies such as Dailymotion (Video sharing), GOOM (Internet radio), Qype (Local search), and TVtrip (Search engine for hotels)

-Internet with companies such as Goojet (web-mobile convergence) and brands4friends (German leader in private sales)

-Software companies such as Netsize (SMS and mobile messaging) and Total Immersion (augmented reality) respectively.

He has also built a track record of successful exits with companies such as Cartesis (sold to Business Objects), Meiosys (sold to IBM) and Travelprice (sold to Lastminute).

Prior to joining Partech, Philippe was a partner at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), which he left to manage strategic Internet and technology initiatives for Carrefour as the GM of its e-Carrefour subsidiary.

Philippe is a graduate of the “Institut d’Etudes Politiques” of Paris and of the Kellogg Graduate School of Business. He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

Philippe has three children. He continues to ski on a regular basis and participates in many other outdoor sporting activities including mountain climbing and sailing.
