Philippe Collombel

General Partner

Philippe Collombel is the co-managing partner of Partech International with Jean-Marc Patouillaud which he joined in 2001. He focuses on European investments in Digital Media, Internet and Software.

Over the last few years, Philippe has built a strong portfolio of emerging leaders in

-Digital Media which includes companies such as Dailymotion (Video sharing), GOOM (Internet radio), Qype (Local search), and TVtrip (Search engine for hotels)

-Internet with companies such as Scoop.it (topic-centric curation), Meninvest (e-commerce and media group focused on Men) and Brands4Friends Japan (private sales).

-Software companies such as Total Immersion (augmented reality).

He has also built a track record of successful exits with companies such as Brand4Friends (sold to eBay), Cartesis (sold to Business Objects), Meiosys (sold to IBM) and Travelprice (sold to Lastminute).

Prior to joining Partech, Philippe was a partner at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), which he left to manage strategic Internet and technology initiatives for Carrefour as the GM of its e-Carrefour subsidiary.

Philippe is a graduate of the “Institut d’Etudes Politiques” of Paris and of the Kellogg Graduate School of Business. He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

Philippe has three children. He continues to ski on a regular basis and participates in many other outdoor sporting activities including mountain climbing and sailing.
